If you work in automotive tuning and recalibration, you know that unlocking modern control units can often feel like a high-stakes puzzle. Keeping up with advanced security measures on newer performance vehicles demands both precision and the right hardware.
Magicmotorsport has just raised the bar with the release of Flex version 8.25.0.0, bringing a streamlined, non-destructive solution for Porsche enthusiasts and tuning professionals alike.

A Smarter Way to Unlock: No Components Removed
Previously, working with Porsche Bosch MG1CP007 and MG1CS047 control units equipped with TC299 processors relied on VFI (Voltage Fault Injection) technology. While effective, it often required intricate handling.
With version 8.25.0.0, technicians can now utilize a brand-new Boot Glitch procedure powered by Korhex.
The best part? No components need to be removed from the control unit. The connection is simplified and made directly to the TC299 processor, drastically reducing the risk of hardware damage and saving valuable shop time.
How the Workflow Operates:
-
ECU Unlock: Perform the initial unlock via Boot Glitch using Flex and Korhex.
-
Programming: Once unlocked, seamlessly transition to standard Bench mode with Flex to complete all reading and writing operations.
Note: To take advantage of this new protocol, make sure your tool is equipped with either the FLS0.20 Boot Glitch license or a Flex Full FLS0.5 configuration.
