Scanmatik, FoxFlash, Flex, or Kess Read VW DCM6.2V Feedback

How to read DCM6.2V, not DCM6.2A/ AP/ C? Can PCMflash clone or original read it, or flex, FoxFlash?

PCMflash – Clone tool no way, only Original PCMflash by OBD mode (no real Bench read)

FoxFlash – VR Read by OBD mode (if no file available, need original file)

Flex – Boot mode (untested)/ VR Read by OBD mode (VR read similar to FoxFlash, update ecu by original file)

Kess/ Ktag – some clone versions may work by OBD mode

1.PCMflash

PCMtuner no way, no protocol to read DCM6.2.

Only original on OBD mode.

No real read by Bench mode, where we can only do tuning like immo off, and clone is impossible.

2.FoxFlash

There is NO bench for DCM6.2V only OBD, and OBD is a VR read.

OBD and Bench mode may both give “error ecu type”.

If not VR file to suit vehicle is on server, we must find an original file to match, and VR file must be from your tool – it is different format than others. Also as said, ECU must be in car.

3.Flex

VR read via OBD, must be done inside car.

If no Virtual Read available for this SW Version DCM6.2V.

Update file by original file.

A new version makes it possible but no tests yet.

New Boot protocol (VAG Delphi DCM6.2V MPC5674 Read/Write/Checksum Internal Flash, Full Read/Full Write Clone/Restore) allows to read & write entire contents of Flash memory (virtualized EEPROM).

4.Kess/Ktag

The original can’t read it.

Clone Kess/ Ktag vary in functions, some of which may work on OBD mode.
