Working with Bosch MD1CS003 PSA ECUs requires more than simply reading and writing the ECU file. Checksum correction is also an important part of the programming process. A recent test with FOXFLASH shows a clear difference between the offline and online loader results.
MD1CS003 PSA Offline Loader Test
Using the FOXFLASH Offline Loader, the MD1CS003 PSA ECU was successfully read and written:
- Read: OK ✅
- Write: OK ✅
- Checksum: KO ❌
- Result: Car No Start
Although the read and write operations were completed successfully, the checksum was not corrected. After programming, the vehicle did not start.
MD1CS003 PSA Online Loader Test
The same type of ECU was then tested using the FOXFLASH Online Loader. The results were:
- Read: OK ✅
- Write: OK ✅
- Checksum: OK ✅
- Result: Car Starts Normally 🚗
With the online loader, the checksum was processed correctly, and the vehicle started normally after the ECU programming operation.
