FoxFlash was able to read and write the Nissan/Renault/Bosch EDC16CP33 ECU successfully and clone it on the bench without any issues. However, the manual states that the brown wire should be connected to pin 7 with a 300-ohm resistor on the bench box, as shown in the manual’s diagram. This connection does not work as described, because the bench box is missing a required ground reference.
Once an additional ground cable is added to the bench box, the connection works properly.
